Associate Professor or Professor & Director of Institute for Cybersecurity – Tenured Department of Computer Science College of Business and Computing
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity and computer science
Lead the Institute for Cybersecurity, a NSA/DHS-designated National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education
Establish an active research program, involving undergraduate and graduate students, and having the potential to lead to extramural funding
Support NSA/DHS and ABET accreditation activities
Participate in course and curriculum development
Advise students and provide service to the department, college, and university
Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline, with emphasis in cybersecurity. (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university)
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and service sufficient to merit the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with tenure
Demonstrated record of transparent, team-first leadership and commitment to shared governance
Excellent communication skills
Evidence of potential for extramural funding
Demonstrated breadth of understanding of the current state of the cybersecurity field
Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multicultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
