LinQuest is seeking a Lead Operations Research analyst to join our team onsite at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a government security clearance is required.
Applicants should have experience in the military operations research, analysis, and modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques to more than one problem type. Successful applicants should be adept at breaking complex problems into manageable elements and identifying candidate solutions for each. Senior Analysts must have the ability to self-teach in order to stay current with the best analytic tools and techniques for solving problems. Additionally, they must understand the advantages and limitations of differing techniques and modeling tools for solving a particular problem.
Senior Analysts are responsible for leading significant and/or multiple analytic efforts. They are expected to develop analytical methodologies to support on customer requirements. They are expected to have honed the ability to estimate the time and resources required to complete an analysis effort. They are responsible for tasking other analysts and technical reviews. Seniors must be in constant synchronization with the project leads, regularly reporting on progress and setbacks to minimize outcome uncertainty throughout the project lifecycle. They are needed not only for their expertise in applying modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques, but also in promoting analytical best practices. They carry the responsibility of aiding and mentoring mid and junior analysts while driving Perduco’s analytic capabilities forward and provide guidance to business development personnel as they seek out new and exciting opportunities.
The Study Team Lead will:
Lead and / or participate with teams in analysis of customer problems
Oversee and at times execute analytical experiments to help solve various complex problems and make a true impact across various domains and industries
Provide overall direction for the successful accomplishment of study outcomes
Assist customers in developing and clarifying requirements
Provide strategic analytical guidance
Develop analysis plans
Research state-of-the-art analytical approaches and innovative statistical models
Identify relevant data sources and concepts for inclusion within the scenario-based analysis
Establish measures of merit and evaluate concepts IAW those measures to assess military utility, technical feasibility, operational constructs, and other associated attributes
Clearly document and present methodology, assumptions, and findings to stakeholders in the form of technical reports and briefings
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of experience in the application, education, and/or development of analytical techniques and solutions.
A detailed understanding of modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques for approaching complex problems within various military scenarios.
Comfortable with methodologies associated with wargaming and development planning activities to support acquisition investment and divestment decisions.
Well-versed in the application of operations research techniques and supporting skills such as design of experiment, and response surface methodologies, scripting language programming, and development of appropriate models and simulations.
Demonstrated experience conducting research studies and analyses
Strong communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required
Experience within the DoD or as a Defense Contractor working as an analyst
Experience leading teams of analysts in various decision support capacities
Applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
Experience presenting study conclusions/recommendations to senior AF/DoD officials
