Centre College invites applications for a three-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics beginning in August 2024. We seek a teacher-scholar with a strong commitment to student-centered, inclusive teaching who will enhance the teaching and learning environment at Centre College with their lived experiences, ideas, perspectives, and scholarship. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in economics or a scheduled defense date by the start of their appointment.
While the area of expertise is open, teaching expectations will include core introductory and intermediate level courses with opportunities to teach upper-level courses in the economist’s areas of interest. Ability to teach in other business disciplines will be viewed very favorably. Collaborative research with undergraduates is strongly encouraged and supported by the college.
